I am so glad that
I found Buddy Slim. I have been here less than 2 days and already have found so many good Buddies.

Changing my way of eating is a real challenge. Knowing this is not a diet and the way I will need to continue to eat even when I get to my goal. It is a real challenge for my hubby too. He is a worse junk food junkie than I am.

I have been realy good so far and know slip ups will happen and need to get right back on track when that happens.

I have a big family reunion on Saturday and although I am looking forward to it, I am also dreading all the food that will be there. I am good at home, but I know what it will be like when I have all the choices right in front of me at the reunion. At home I can limit the junk food, but I can’t in social situations and this will be realy hard for me. Any suggestions?

Hi Bette Jo,
The best suggestion I’ve heard multiple times (and used often!) is to eat before you go!
Another suggestion, is to make a dish that you know is good for you, and take it with you.
I agree with both comments to eat a “large” low calorie salad or veggie meal before you go and expect that you will consume the majority of your daily intake at the gathering (if it’s a BBQ, you will easily eat 1000 calories during the event).
