even with all the parties I am doing good. I can’t believe with the holidays I have been losing weight and not gaining. This is the first time in my life I have actually lost weight over the holidays.

I can’t wait until Friday my last day and then I get Christmas week off. I definitely need the break. I am even taking Friday afternoon off with my hubby to finish our shopping up. I even picked my own substitute bus monitor for the afternoon. Her kids only had Mon.-Wed. this week so I knew she would like to pick up a few hours on Friday and I know she will be good to the kids on my run. I am just so protective of them I hate it when they get someone who just sits or sleeps and does not interact with them. Gee you would think I was their mother…….LOL…….

I can’t believe Christmas is almost here. I am so excited to spend it with 3 of my grandkids this year. They were in Virginia for the last 2. I won’t be seeing my other grandaughter. I will drop off her presents Friday at her other grandmothers. It is a long story, but she belongs to my middle son and his whacky ex-girl-friend. I have only seen Mercedes 2 times in her life. She is the one with me in my picture. I am sad about that, but at this point there is nothing else I can do.

I thought you were the mother of the child in your picture!! You look like a very young grandma! It’s sad how children in our familys can be taken away by broken relationships. I have 2 nieces who live in Canada. I don’t know if I’ll ever see them again. My brother is here in MN but he’s more into the bar scene than seeing his kids. I’m sure as a grandma it’s heartbreaking.

Great job losing weight during the holidays!!
I understand how you’re feeling. I have two grandsons that I’m not allowed to see. My daughter gave her ex full custody of them and he won’t let any of our family see them. I’ve only seen the youngest once, for just a couple of minutes, and I wasn’t even allowed to tell him who I was. And yeah, it hurts. I still make them Christmas ornaments every year, just like the rest of the grandchildren. I just put them away. Someday I’ll be able to give them to them.

You sound like you really like your job. I am glad that at least you get to see two of your grandkids. Sometimes life is crazy and trows us some bad things to see if we can handle life. Looks like you are handling everything fine. Take care
