too much free time….
I was in a hurry to go on break, now that I have been off for a week, I am in hurry to go back. I need to be at work, it is harder staying on track at home than being at work. Oh, my I guess I just don’t know what I want. I have stayed on track this week, both with diet and excercise, but boy has it been hard.
I don’t go back until September 5th. I have been told I will have the same driver, that is good, my driver and I get along great. I have had some humm dingers. I have a few who talk your head off but anything and everything and I have had some who hardly talk at all. Like the driver who left me behind. Yes, I had a driver leave me behind. We were getting fuel and I got out to use the restroom (like I did every day)! I came out and he was pulling away, good thing I had a cell phone, I had to call our base and they tried to get ahold of the driver, but couldn’t! They had to have another driver pick me up after her run and bring me into base which is over an hour away. The other driver realized when he was almostĀ back to my houseĀ that I was not on the bus, (I live almost an hour away)! Now every time they give me a new driver I ask them to please not leave me behind. Well any ways my driver is great, he talks about a lot of interesting things and we had a great time with our free time during the summer when we had to stick around for 3 hours everyday waiting for the kids to get out of summer school. We did a lot of yard sales, thrift shops, farmers markets and we found a nice antique shop. I can’t afford the things there, but it was interesting since he knows a lot about antiques he told me the history of some of the things there. You know the saying you learn something new every day, well that sure was true this past summer. I was afraid they would give me a new driver since they knew that we enjoyed working together.
I hope all of you are havng a great day!

Sure sounds like a nice driver you had! So happy you will have him again. It makes work so much nicer when we get along with the other employees!! Sorry your having trouble staying on track. I know how you feel, being home everyday is tough. The kitchen calls my name all the time..LOL!!! and of course, most of the time I go running!! Take care!
Sounds as though YOU make the job interesting. It is hard to have too much free time. I am getting involved with all sorts of causes because I feel so much better now, the grief is working it’s way out so it is not so painful. All you buddies have saved my sanity. Sorry, gotta go hug a tree. My youngest son says “What do those tree huggers think they are going to change” THE EARTH, one mountain top at a time. I know who NOT to call to bail me out. Hugs, Marge
YAY for getting the same driver. Nothing makes work more enjoyable then working for a good cause with co-workers you enjoy.
Gee, if I had a job as enjoyable, I would want to work, too!!!
I hear you about it being hard to stay on track when you are not working. I work a lot of nights so it keeps me away from snacking at night, but boy when I have a day off it is so hard. Great job on staying on track..Keep it up!!! You’ll be back at work in no time.

Glad to hear that you gonna have the same driver, seems like you get along. But that sucks that you got left behind, and for him not to notice until he was almost home…I would have been so mad. Enjoy your rest of the time off.
