At a plateu……..
Yeah it really stinks, and I was feeling kind of down about it. I started thinking, at least I did not gain. I have been on this journey for a little over a year and I have lost almost 80 lbs. I feel better, I look better and I am becoming healthier! I knew this journey would not be easy, I knew there would be good days and bad days! I knew there would be weeks like this, yet I am so disapointed when it happens. Then I think about my accomplishments, I can get out of bed almost every day without so much pain that I have to find the Advil before I can do anything. I can get up from a lawn chair without having hubby pull me up! I can get down on the floor and play with my grandkids and get back up without crawling to the couch to pull myself back up!! When I add up all of these little accomplishments they add up to a big accomplishment and I know I will continue this journey even when I stumble upon road blocks along the way!!
My buddies are wonderful and give me support and a push when I need it, they inspire and motivate me to continue this journey! It is a wonderful feeling to know that I have so many buddies rooting for me to succeed as I root for their success too!!
I hope you are all having a super weekend!

Your weight loss still amazes me! And look at your list of accomplishments. I’m so happy and proud of you for all the hard work. Give yourself a pat on the back, you really deserve it. I’m sure the scale will move but I can understand the frustration of it all. Have a great weekend!!
80lbs lost in over a year that’s great. Look at all the good things so far. Don’t dwell on that scale moving. You should be very proud of yourself. . Keep up the good work and I agree with Jane give yourself that pat on the back. You work hard for this.
Honey, you are doing a wonderful job. Our bodies adjust to the changes and sometimes they just have to pout for awhile! I swear they hate losing even one fat cell. But remember if we are ever in a famine we will live the longest, because our bodies sure know how to function without burning many calories. Try eating about 5-6 tiny snacks and few larger meals for a week or two and fool the starvation mode your body thinks it’s in. That’s what I am doing right now. Hang in there. I am so proud of you! Love, Marge
You are doing a great job! Recently, it took me 6 weeks to lose 1 pound. I got discouraged, but kept trucking along, keeping my eyes on the road. Finally one morning, I got to say goodbye to that stubborn pound. You have accomplished SO much honey… just gotta persevere! I like Marge’s suggestion - sometimes we need to trick our stubborn ass fat cells! Hang in there and have a wonderful weekend!
80 lbs? Don’t fret over a little plateau. I’ve been here over a year and a half, lost 30 and gained back 10. You’re doing great!
Yes, what everybody said.
It’s amazing how frustrated we can become when we don’t look at the bigger picture and only measure our life by the number on the scale.
Things you can do NOW are so essential for a joyful, happy life. These things did not come to you overnight; you worked hard on losing pounds and gaining strength.
Have a wonderful Saturday and keep your chin up!
