Help……. I have fallen and

can’t seem to get back on track.

I know that emotional eating is going to get me nowhere expect back where I started. I just can’t get myself motivated to get back on track. I can start off all gung ho first thing in the morning and then by afternoon, boom I am grabbing a cappucino and a bag of chex mix!

I had a bad experience at work. It concerned myspace. I had been blogging about work. I named no names and did not say where I worked, but the b%$^h tried to get me fired over it.

My youngest son has changed so much in the past 6 months since being with his g/f I hardly know him anymore. He got  himself in some trouble, something I never expected from him and now I am dealing with that.

I feel like all of my blogs and posts have been so  negative and nobody wants to read all of that negativitiy all the time. I am tired of all of the negativity myself, but at this point I am trying to find something positve and it is hard with all I have going on.

I got  through losing the first half of my weight loss and although I had issues, I was able to work my way through and around things, Now, I am having trouble staying focused and on plan.

I need to figure out how I can get back on track and work my way through all of my issues and not let them get in my way!

Anyone with ideas let me know. I truly need your help!

    1. Stay in the moment… no thinking about the past or worrying about the future. This will keep you focused.

    2. You cannot control people places things. All you can do is work on improving those things about YOURSELF that need changing. You concentrate on that, and things will fall into place.

    3. Take fresh fruit, low fat yogurt, cottage cheese, etc. for snacks when that mid-afteroon munchie moster hits. In other words, BE PREPARED. A small ice chest with a freezer pack in it. Stuffed already sliced or prepared and placed in baggies (saves space) is a life saver for these situations.

    4. Ask yourself those two important questions… Am I TRULY hungry? and Is it HEALTHY?

    5. Find some spiritual time… meditate, pray, THINK about spiritual things. This will provide you with some balance when it comes to dealing with problems and stresses in your life. If you are not a spiritual person, give it a try anyway. What you got to lose?

    6. If you have a negative attitude, you are starting out behind. It takes WORK to stay positie, but it’s not impossible. Quit watching the news and reading the newspapers. I promise if it’s important, SOMEONE is going to tell you about it. Read something motivational every single day. A good one on the net is Sparkspeople.com. You can sign up for a free motivational quote and reading to get in your e-mail every single day. Another good one is mountainwings.com. Every time you feel negative, stop in your tracks, MAKE yourself smile and breath deep and tell yourself that you are worth the effort, CAUSE YOU ARE!!! Do something for someone else. This will take the focus off of you and on to someone else, which WILL help you get away from negative thoughts. You can’t be helping someone else and wallowing in negativity at the same time.

Cmonnnnnnnnnnnn… I KNOW you can do this. I believe in you. You have wonderful support here. It’s time to start believing in yourself, k?

    Big HUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGS,

Shan is right on target, I understand completely what you are saying, the last 2 weeks have been hell for me and my waistline is definatley showing it. For people like us (emotional eaters) there will never be stability, and we have doomed to yo-yo, but what matters is that you think POSITIVELY more often then not, and this not only effects you and your weightloss but the people around you, people really do respond to a good additude.
The night before last I was really down about the lack of focus ive had and the weight i had gained and then my sister reminded me ” It’s winter! It’s natural to gain weight, everybody does!” And she was right, mon. morning I was able to go to work and just do the work that had to be done and not think about those extra winter pounds.
Just remember to keep your head up, and a put smile on your face and things really will change for the better:)
    Sincerely,
    Jamesy
