I am happy to announce…..
I have had a great week. I am so happy to have such amazing buddies here who give me support, inspiration and motivation. I weighed in today and I am pleased to say, I have lost 4 lbs. this week.
It really makes a difference when I journal my food. I journal it before I eat it and that way I can only eat what I have journaled.
I have had my 5 yr. old grandaughter since Wednesday night and I am getting the 2 yr. old tonight. She is my little whirlwind. I will be lucky to go to the bathroom let alone get on the computer. I am only keeping her 1 night and throught tomorrow. This only proves I am starting to feel my age!
I love this time of year when you can get melons. I love watermelon, cantelope and honey dews. I bought two melons the other night. I can have such great sweet low calorie snacks.
Today is an end of the year picnic where I work. I will be good. I will not be tempted by the bad foods……LOL……ok I will try not to be tempted. I am prepared, I am taking my oriental coleslaw, it is so good and it is within a calorie range I can handle. I will just be careful what I eat. I am taking 2 sl. of my 40 cal. per sl. 100 % Whole wheat bread, no white roll for me. I am going to write down everything I eat. I am not going to take my measuring cups with me, but I think I can judge what I take. I will write it all down and if I do go over today, it will not be the end of the world. It will be a lesson to be more careful in the future.

I just got off the phone with hubby. I asked what kind of meat did they buy. He said all he saw was hot dogs. Hmmmmmm not so good for me. I told him I am bringing me a turkey burger (he is doing the cooking. I am also bringing a turkey burget and some no fat cheese for my friend Ruthie and I. She just joined Curves. She is trying to get me to join. She is giving me a one week free pass from her Curves. I am going to check it out and see if it is affordable for me or not. Also I have the issue of the distance and the price of gas. I am hoping I can work it all out. Do any of my buddies out there use Curves? What do you think?

I did go to Curves, it was great…. at first. Then I got bored with it. I really prefer wogging, and that’s free. I don’t have a lot of money, and water aerobics is 35.00 for 20 classes, my doctor said to stick with it because of my back (bulging disk) so….wow, didn’t think I could ramble on so long about so little… ; anyway, that’s just my opinion. Maybe it was just the group I was in with, not much fun.

I hear ya on “feeling our age” We’ve had Talan for almost a week, and I’m exhausted!!! Its got to be the age 2 that makes it so tough :0

That’s a fabulous weight loss - you must be so proud.
What’s Curves? a gym?? If so I was a member of a British gym last year, along with hubby and daughter. Facilities were great but I soon got bored and didn’t think the amount I was spending in membership was worth it. That’s just a personal opinion though - hubby and Megan still go and thoroughly enjoy it. Just make sure you get your money’s worth if you do join up!

My sister used curves, and she loved it, and it really helped her. You look like you are making a lot of progress on your own, if money and gas are an issue that is stressful, I would just continue doing what you are doing.
