Bye Bye flabby arms…….

I was out doing yard sales on my break today. Gotta love my job during the summer we have a three hour break while the kids are in school. Well anyways, I found this excerciser it is called a Bullworker for $3.00. I figured it would be good for upper body excercises anyways. I get home, and google it and I see it is good for men and bulking up, not what I want!! So I keep looking anyways, and I find a site that had excercises for women using the Bullworker and it has excercise for the total body! I am so excited over todays find! I will let you all know how it goes!

Do any of you use a Bullworker or no of any one that does? Any tips would be appreciated!

Learning to love excercise………

I still don’t love to excercise, but I don’t hate it anymore. I still have to make myself do it most of the time, but once I do I feel better for doing it. Take yesterday for example, worked out with Richard Simmons before work and took a walk at the park when I was on break. I had lots of energy last night, but hubby fell asleep in front of the computer. He has a desk job and doesn’t get much excercise. He keeps promising to walk with me and it hasn’t happened yet. I was so annoyed with him last night that I came on Buddy Slim last night looking for some support and inspiration, and of course I found it, Kama with her wonderful sense of humor drew me out of my funk. This never use to bother me when we both hubby and I use to be so lethargic and lazy at night, but now I get so discouaraged because I have so much energy and he is out of energy, he fell asleep in front of the computer before 6!

Doing good staying on track of my food and journaling it. Getting in some excercise every day (not ready for a marathon, but excercising)!

I am still inspiring my co-workers. The 3 I am working with each day are still bringing healthier lunches and 2 out the 3 walked in the park yesterday! One of them has lost 10 lbs. in the 3 weeks since we have been together every work day! She is so happy for it and I am happy for her.

It makes me feel good knowing I not only inspire my buddies one here, I am an inspiration to people I work with! It is such a new and good feeling for me!

A little info I read this morning and wanted to share! Did you know Dunkin Donuts is going healthy?!

“The menu, which will debut in stores Aug. 6, will feature two new flatbread sandwiches made with egg whites. Customers will be able to choose either a turkey sausage egg-white sandwich or a vegetable one. Both will be under 300 calories with 9 grams of fat or less, the company said. The new menu will be called DDSmart and will include all current and new items that either have 25 percent few calories, sugar, fat or sodium than comparable products or contain ingredients that are “nutritionally beneficial,” the company said. Current products that will join the new sandwiches on the menu include a multigrain bagel and a reduced-fat blueberry muffin. Dunkin’ will continue to add products to the menu and is currently developing several new offerings, but would not disclose any details.?”

Well I am off to pack lunches, get hubby up for work and as soon as he leaves get in some excercise and hopefully come back on for a few minutes before I go to work!

Just a quickie……..

I am at my son’s now. Had to come after work to babysit for a few hours. Then stay for dinner. Yikes………spagetti, garlic bread and salad! I love pasta, guess I better fill up on the salad first! My younger sister is up from Virginia and will also be here for dinner.

Rainy day so  I did not get my walk in at the park, like usual!

I will try to come on when I get home tonight, depending on the time. Hubby is working the other job until about 2 am. so I will probably be up late anyways, I don’t sleep well when he isn’t home.

New Picture……

I had hubby take some new pictures tonight. Only one turned out half way decent. He doesn’t know how to use my camera…….LOL…….I am the one that always uses it, as I don’t usually have my picture taken. I thought having a new picture showing my loss might give me some more motivation.

Take my In-Laws please…….

Yesterday was hubby’s family reunion. You would think after almost 30 years of it, I would be use to it. Well I guess I am use to it, but just don’t like it. Need I say a boring day! Yesterday, I was proud of me! I know I looked nice, I took the time to fix my hair, do my nails. Hey, I have lost 94 lbs. who wouldn’t want a compliment or two. Nothing, no Gee you look nice, How much weight have you lost! Notta Nothing! I stuck to my plan better than expected I went over by 300 calories. The 300 calories came from the 3 Michelobe Ultras I drank and believe me I wanted too drink a whole 6 pack.

I forgot to have hubby take my picture yesterday. I want to post an updated one! I hope to get him to do it tonight when he gets home from work!

Just remember that saying……..

We eat to live not live to eat! I gave myself a good talk tonight about that. Hubby wanted homemade macaroni and cheese for dinner. It is like one of my all time favorite comfort foods. I really wanted it, had it in my food journal and everything. Then I decided why eat a half a cup of fatty mac and cheese for 543 calories. I was like holy cow I can eat a ton of vegetables for that! I did, I had veggies with my chicken instead and hubby had his mac and cheese and he gets the left overs tomorrow night too! He told me I don’t have to make it just for him anymore. Okay I wont’ he doesn’t need all that fat either!

I was wondering how much longer my BMI was going to be saying I am obese, so I played around with the BMI index tonight I guess I have to lose 34 more pounds. I can do it, I hate the word obese! It sounds crazy, but I want to be overweight.

I have been doing a lot of walking lately inbetween my bus runs. I need to get a new pedometer so I know how much I am walking.

Nothing new to report……

I had a great weekend food wise. I had my 3 and 5 yr. old grandaughters, so I didn’t do regular excercises, but I feel like I still got a workout in. I stuck to plan and journaled my food and stayed under my calorie limit.

I have family reunions the next 3 weekends, and it is making me a little nervous already. I have made it through the last few picnics staying on plan. I know I can do it, as long as I am careful and plan ahead. I will make a few dishes I know I can have, and have a small amount of something else if I am careful and pay attention to what it is and what a serving size is.

Just a quickie……

Yup you guessed it! I have my 3 yr. old grandaughter since yesterday and I think I am getting the 5 yr. old later.  No rest for this grandma! I love it though!

I did good this week! I am down 3 lbs.

I have reset my mini goal. When I reach that mini goal, it will be a 100 lb. loss. I am still deciding on my reward for reaching that milestone. I know it will be something special with hubby, but don’t know what yet!

Good Habits Rubbing of on Others…..

I am happy to see my good habits are rubbing off on others. I wish it would rub off on my hubby, well it slowly is, but wish it was more. Every day I take something with me on my run to eat, healthy of course. My driver and the other driver, and the other monitor(who happens to be my brother) have either brought junk or bought junk to eat during our break, well yesterday they had good stuff like salad fruit and cottage cheese. my driver stopped and got a small subway sub. I tell them gees it is nice to see you all eating healthy and they told me “It is all your fault”! LOL……I love it!

I am having a good week! Planning ahead, eating healthy, and getting in lots of walking. Yesterday was a big community yard sale, and we parked and walked and walked. Last year at these same yard sales, I could hardly do that. I was like the energizer bunny yesterday! I love this new feeling of energy I get.

I am becoming proud of me……

The other morning when I got dressed to go to work, I was like these capris are loose. As the day went on I kept pulling them up. Well as I now have 3 hrs. to find something to do inbetween bus runs, we went to the thrift store. I bought a size 20 shorts and a pair of skorts( my capris were a size 22) and the 20’s fit great. I started this journey wearing  a size 28. I have those jeans I wore when I started hanging on the inside of my bedroom door as a reminder that I am never going to wear them again. I don’t think I have worn a 20 in going on since before my first son was born and he will be 28 this year. I actually looked in the mirror this morning and I am beginging to like what I see. I am getting a figure. Wow, I am still amazed when I see this. I went back yesterday and bought me 2 pair of size 20 jeans too!

I have also been becoming bored with food. It is hard giving up favorites. I have been trying to work on lower fat, lower calorie versions of some of my favorites. I will post some when I get a chance. I have been doing an extra run in the afternoons for the past couple days so it has cut into my computer time.
