Hopped back on for another short ride! What can I say?

Hopped back on for another short ride! What can I say?

Here it is almost 3 years on this journey and I still can’t control emotional eating at times.

My family is my life! In the past week I have had my heart broken twice.

Thursday my middle son Josh moved to Virginia. I know this is probably a great opportunity for him; it is just the mother in me not wanting to lose him. He is 25 years old and it is time for him to grow up and make some changes in his life.

Then my heart felt like it was ripped right out of my chest and stomped on last night! My youngest, my baby, Ethan (he will always be my baby) went to jail, it was nothing major, he violated probation. The court gave him 90 days of which if he behaves he will serve 60. I tried so hard to instill my values in my son’s! They just didn’t get it! I am hoping while he is there, he will get his GED. He says he will, so maybe something good can come of it! Maybe this will give him some thinking time. He needs to grow up too. He needs to realize he has to get a job and become a man. He is going to be a daddy in December!

Today is going to be a ME day!! I was suppose to work today, but a couple hours of work isn’t worth losing a whole day of unemployment so they are giving it to someone else.

 Today I will!

Finish my contract and post it!

Journal my food and post it!

Exercise and post it!

I did finish my contract and here it is!

6/30/2009 I Bette Jo Payne will continue this journey for better health and weight loss. 1.     I will work on changing the things I can change. I will not allow the things I cannot change to keep me from my destination.2.     When my husband is having a stressful day at work and comes home in a bad mood, I will not allow his mood to cause me to stray from journey.3.     I will continue to use my food journal every day and post it. Good or Bad!4.     I will start an exercise journal. I will exercise at least 5 days a week!5.     I will find more time for myself. I will learn to say “NO” to things I really don’t want to do, but feel are expected of me to do.6.     I will offer support, motivation and inspiration to my friends here on Buddyslim.7.     I will continue my quest to try to get my husband to become healthier, but I will not push it. If he decides he wants my help I will give it to him, but if he doesn’t want it, I will back off. I will focus on my own goals of better health and weight loss and hope it inspires him to do the same!    Bette Jo Payne         Hope you are all having a great week!!

Good Bye Roller Coaster………

I finally got off that roller coaster! I am back on track! I did pretty good with my food today and journaled it! I got in my water too!

I am off work for the most part this week except for Tuesday. I am going in to work Tuesday and call the parents with the pick up and drop off times for the children for the summer runs that start next week.

I will have time this week to work out an excercise plan and keep up with my food journal and of course come on here!

I hope everyone is having an amazing weekend!!

Big HUGS!

Let me off this roller coaster…….

I am on that emotional roller coaster! I need to get off it and stay off it!

For the most part it was a good week! I lost 2 lbs.! My week was crazy and hectic, but did good when I could plan ahead and know what I was going to eat. Thursday I went into work early with hubby because I was going to clean the van we used for our run, I ended up cleaning two other filthy vans (why they don’t clean them themselves is beyond me) plus I swept out all of the buses in the parking area. I had planned on subway for lunch. Hubby was suppose to pick up lunch while I was doing a midday run, so I didn’t pack a lunch. Well the boss had to leave for a meeting so hubby couldn’t go get lunch!! Not good, so I ate the yogurt for lunch I had brought for a snack. When I got home, I was so starved I had cereal for dinner. All in all Thursday was not too bad. Except my middle son left for VA! This is really a good thing for him, just hard on me. I love having all three of my son’s near me. He needs to grow up and get away from things and straighten out his life. My youngest sister lives in VA so it is not like he left and knows nobody there. He also lived there a couple years ago and has friends in the area.

Now yesterday, was bad! We had a mandatory meeting at work and then the company picnic. I had good intentions and made my oriental coleslaw, but I ate bad things!! It was so bad that I was sick to my stomach last night and most of the night so I couldn’t sleep well! I say it serves me right!! My stomach just can’t take bad eating any more!!

Today is a cook out for my 4 year old grandaughter, Morgan’s BD! It is at my oldest brothers and he has a pool! I am going to be much more careful in the food department and spend some time in the pool playing with the grandkids.

I have a week off work and then I get a new run! I will have only a little over an hour between my midday and afternoon run, so I am hoping to just stay down near the school there is an awesome walking path I want to use. I have also talked with my sister in law about coming over a few nights a week and her and I are going to do water arobics in her pool! I am going to google water arobics and see what I come up with!!

Well I did lose 2 lbs. this week so that was good! Now to keep on track after yesterdays mess up so I can lose this week!

Hope you all had a great week!!

Big HUGS!

Working with changes….

I have a hard time when my schedule is changed. This is a week of that. For the most part Sunday was my only mess up, I get right back on track.

Yesterday, my six year old grandaughter graduated from Kindergarten. So I was not at home all day, and we had a unexpected cook out at my oldest sons. I stayed under my calories, but went over on my fat, and under on my protein! I am proud of myself for at least being able to stay under my calories!!

Today is my last day with this run. I will miss my kids. They have become like extra grandkids to me! Tomorrow I am working doing another run and cleaning the van we have been using. Friday a meeting at work and the end of the school year cookout. I am then done work for two weeks until the summer programs start up and then I have a new run, new kids and a new driver!!

I hope everyone is having a great week! Mine is not to bad even with all the changes I have going on!!

Actually looking forward to my weigh in….

It has been awhile since I have actually looked forward to a weigh in. I have been so off track. I have been goofing off for so long. I have gone up and down the same pounds for the past year. I have been thinking about that a lot today! I can say shame on me and get all stressed about it or I can say, you know what, thats okay, because at least I didn’t gain it all back. I have got my motivation back. I don’t know where it went and I don’t really care, I have it back and it isn’t going anywhere this time!!

I hope everyone is having a great week!!

Accountability……

I am so tired of this past year and all the goofing off I have done. I have gone up and down the same pounds. I am going to really get serious! I want 2009 to be my year to shine!

I am going to try to post my food journal every day to help hold me accountable. I can’t always blog every day because of my slow dial up internet, but I am going to try as often as I can.

I need some feed back on so if you have an idea share it with me, I would appreciate it!!

Thank you!!

A maintain is better than a gain…….

True, but I wanted a loss! I maintained this week, but it my own fault. Fight with hubby EAT, go out to dinner with my sisters EAT! So this week I am going to lose! I am going to kick it up a notch! I am going to journal my food, and if my hubby is crabby I am going to go take a walk, work in the yard anything to take my mind off FOOD!

If anyone is looking for another Challenge this month check this one, my buddy Debra has in the forums!

http://www.weight-loss-forums.buddyslim.com/weight-loss-challenge/5199-booster-game-june-challenge-join-us.html

Today I have to catch up on the laundry, go grocery shopping and hopefully hit the yard sales. I am going to have two new grandchildren by Christmas. I want to find some baby things to keep at my house and yard sales are the best way for me to do this and keep in my budget!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

Biggest HUGS!
